Choosing Between Personal & Vehicle Breakdown Cover!

Do You Need Vehicle Cover, or Personal Cover?

Breakdown cover comes in two major varieties, personal cover or vehicle cover. Both of these are good options depending on your situation, but they’re different. With personal cover, you’ll be covered no matter what vehicle you’re driving or riding in.

With vehicle cover, you as a person are not covered; instead, one particular vehicle, in and of itself, is what is covered. The vehicle cover can be especially beneficial to a family of drivers who drive one car. However, if you drive several vehicles as a matter of course, personal cover is probably for you.

What Level of Cover Do You Need?

There are many different levels of breakdown cover, too, to choose from when it comes to breakdown cover. Make sure you have the right cover for you so that you have the cover you need. The most basic and cheapest of the cover levels offered is roadside assistance.

For a little bit more, you can get roadside assistance and home cover; with home cover, the patrol will come to your home to help you out if you have a breakdown there. Comprehensive cover includes many more features, and the specifics of those features differ between companies. However, you get a lot more service with comprehensive cover, although it is more expensive as well.

Finally, European cover will cover you for breakdown cover if you need to go outside of the United Kingdom. Keep in mind that your regular breakdown cover will not cover you if you go outside of the UK, so get European cover if you do plan to go abroad.
